We have decided that we have our perfect family of four. One girl, one boy. There are no plans for a third child. Our second one has shown us that we aren't as young as we used to be.
SO WHY AM I SAD THAT I'M SELLING ALL THE BABY STUFF? Out with the old, in with the new. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the freed space that I'm hoping to receive, but sad at the same time that I realize that I won't experience another baby moving inside of me, and I won't have a tiny bundle of joy to hold tight all day long and night.
So far I have sold my infant carrier and the bases as well as the snap n go stroller. Baby must haves.. So I guess if I'm selling the essentials, I'm really done, right? The swing is up next (excuse me while I grab a tissue). I never thought I'd be sad to see these things go, but yet I am. I almost teared up as I handed the items over to the two expectant moms who are lucky to have my "treasures" and fond memories (and at a steal, no less!). They are the ones supposed be having the hormone issues, not me.
On a up note, I've decided to split the money from each sell and start savings accounts for the kids. Since they are not being brought up Catholic, they kind of lost out on all the free savings they would have received if they were christened, so no time like the present to start their savings. Right now, their "account" is actually their giant empty piggy banks, but hopefully If I can find time and not cry when I go through the remaining baby stuff and clothes, I'll make them some decent cash!! If anyone wants to contribute to Matthew and Carson's savings plans, and you are expecting a baby (or not), come see me!!

Starting Over
I'M STARTING OVER. A new look to my blog and hopefully new resolve to write again. I know no one is out there now, but maybe one day they will come back!!
2011 has been so good to us. We have had some bumps along the way, but my husband and I both have a job (finally!), we have 2 beautiful, funny, and sweet children, We are all healthy (knock on wood), and thanks to Steve's layoff and new job - we actually got ahead a little bit financially this year!! (funny, huh?)
Thanks to the crappy economy and the almost government shutdown in March, most of the meetings for this year were shelved- meaning up until now, I have had to travel very little this year. NOW, both Steve and I will be juggling travel this fall- almost like a well choregraphed dance. We'll get through it. At least we have jobs!!
So, hopefully I can find my way to get back on here. I really do want to say something, its just finding the time and words.

Matthew (aka BUD) is 9 months old now, and IN TO EVERYTHING!!! He's crawling, pulling to stand, letting go for a second, and on record pace to be walking shortly! He has one tooth so far, and I'm sure the others are not far behind. He's over the baby food mush and likes to eat almost everything we are eating , and still loves his bottle too! Yesterday at his 9 month checkup : 22.8lbs. and 29.5 inches
(translation: 18 mos clothes)
He really keeps us on our toes, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Bud completes our little family! You know he's a keeper when he PEED all over me at the doctor's office yesterday, and I didn't care that my entire shirt was completely soaked through :)
Carson is the most affectionate big sister out there!! She sniffs Matthew daily and has started pulling on his ears and making choo choo noises. She makes sure that he doesn't touch her toys but warns him of any danger! She's even tried a few wrestling moves on him! She is really wonderful with him, and she still gets upset if she thinks someone is going to take Bud home with them, or if we start packing up the car and he's not in there- I hope this love and devotion stays for many years to come!!
Carson is starting her second year of pre-school tomorrow. She's pretty excited. Mrs. Heitmann is her teacher, and she has 2 friends from her class last year that will be with her this year. She is 4 years old now, and cannot wait to turn 5. Her friend is about to turn 5 and she's anxious to catch up him. :)
So, hopefully I can find my way to get back on here. I really do want to say something, its just finding the time and words.
